I'd definitely add Empellon as my top pick for upscale / new Mexican. Great assortment of interesting tacos. It probably opened post-Zagat survey though.

Hecho en Dumbo is another favorite that should be on the list. Love the tostado de ceviche and queso fundidos.

I would add Ah Chihuahua! for some cheap tex mex. Also El Rio Grande for the outstanding (yet deadly) margs and great food.
