The Lunch Belle has done her homework and made a list of restaurants and quick-stops for nabes all over NYC. As with most of The Belle's lists, this one is ongoing. - Lombardi's: America's oldest pizza joint~great pies made in a warm and casual setting
- Papatzul: A new front-runner for "Top 5 best Mexican restaurants in NYC." Transport yourself to Ciudad Juarez at this authentic eatery~great drinks, quality food and inexpensive prices make Papatzul a winner!
- The Odeon: French brasserie fare served in a retro/art-deco-chic atmosphere~stick-to-your-ribs grub served with a smile
- Bouley: Got an anniversary/marriage proposal/special engagement approaching? Look no further than one of Manhattan's most famous French restaurants. You can't beat the decor, wine list or exquisite service.
- Hundred Acres: Brought to you by the same folks behind Five Points and Cookshop, Hundred Acres brings diners a similar eclectic menu served in a gorgeous space with a lovely enclosed back patio
- Peep: Legit Thai food served in a swanky chic atmosphere full of pretty young things~for such a haute nabe (actually, for anywhere in NYC), the prices are amazingly reasonable
- Marc Forgione: Quite possibly, the best New American restaurant to grace Tribeca with her presence of late~Enjoy a-la-carte dining or communal tables holding twelve of very best friends~Great wine/cocktail list and fantastic food menu to boot
- Cafe Gitane: Though I've only had a glass of wine, this just may be the most charming cafe in the city's best nabe~gorgeous, yet casual, French fare served in a most leisurely setting...Don't come here if you're in a hurry!
- Balthazar: Yummy French bistro fare served in a charming atmosphere~fantastic homemade breads, pastries and desserts
- Lure Fishbar: One of the best restaurant designs in the city~wonderful cocktails, Florida stone crab, oysters & more
- The Mercer Kitchen: Uber sleek design and chic setting chock full of fashionistas and scenesters~great cocktails and continental fare
- Dos Caminos Soho: Fun Mexican restaurant with great margaritas, enchiladas and guac in a trendy atmosphere
- Chinatown Brasserie: Fantastic haute Chinese cuisine & delicious dim sum served in a downtown-chic space
- Nolita House: This old school house-turned restaurant serves up some great stick-to-your-ribs American comfort food, with brunch particularly standing out~casual and fun atmosphere
- Hampton Chutney Co (delivery): For a quick bite...wonderful Indian-inspired sandwiches, dosas and uttapams
- Savoy: Sit down with a glass of wine and the homemade sausage platter for a casual afternoon lunch~American fare in a warm and intimate atmosphere
- Bridge Cafe: A stone's throw from the Brooklyn Bridge~one of the best kept secrets in town~wonderful American food served in a charming and old fashioned (circa 1794!!) room
- Kittichai: Decent Thai food and unbelievably amazing muddled-berry mojito(s)
