Bye-bye Bohemian

"Promise me that you won't post details about Studio Square on your website. We can't let the secret out!" Emily said.

...Clearly, I didn't keep my word (sorry Em). Studio Square is Astoria's newest beer garden. Frankly, this 2-month-old oasis makes Queens' original beer garden, "Bohemian Hall," look like the desert. Step out of the concrete jungle and into a lush, spacious patio complete with a separate indoor venue, a few large bar stations and both a sushi and American-food counter. While I didn't eat, I did sample one (OK, make that 3) of Studio Square's homemade red sangria, chock full of chopped fruit. For a non-beer-drinker like myself, this sangria alone makes the trek to Queens all the more worth it (plus, I don't feel like "that high maintenance girl who we can't take to the beer garden b/c she doesn't drink brew").

Even the lil' ones love Studio Square!

While the summer's still in full swing, I highly suggest you go check out this incredible space! And trust me, you too will be saying "bye-bye Bohemian!"
